(To view/print rental agreement, click –> WCL Hall Rental Agreement)
This historic building contains an auditorium, with a newly preserved painted theater curtain from the 1940s, and a library among its five rooms. The Library is open 12hours a week with library services administered by the Quechee Library. All patrons are invited to enjoy the resources of the larger Quechee Library by visiting there or by asking that materials be brought to the Wilder Clubhouse. Browsing the catalogs of both sites’ collections is easily done on the two public access computers, which were donated by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. For rental information on the auditorium, suitable for parties and meetings as well as performances, call 295-6341
Quechee: Providing meeting spaces for individuals and groups supports a mission goal of the Quechee Library to be a community center.
Quechee Library offers non-profit groups meeting space at the Library when there is no conflict with library functions. The library reserves the right to re-schedule a group due to special circumstances. For-profit groups may rent on an hourly basis if there is no conflict with library operations or other meetings. See below for expectations of use by any group.
Quechee Policy
Each group will be loaned a key to the back door of the library (Willard Road) which allows access to the downstairs meeting room and rest room. A representative of the group must sign a statement acknowledging receipt and responsibility for the key and its prompt return and for leaving the room as found. If food of any kind is served, all remaining food must be taken from the building and the floor should be vacuumed to remove all crumbs. The door must be locked upon leaving. The group using the meeting room is responsible for any or all losses incurred by the library as a result of leaving the building unlocked.
