Summer Activities for Kids at Quechee and Wilder Libraries!

The Quechee and Wilder Libraries will launch its Summer Reading Program for children and families/caregivers on Wednesday, June 24 at 3:30, with a party on the theme of “Exploring Our State and National Parks.” The kick-off party will happen at the Quechee Public Library, and will feature talks from State and National park rangers, activities, stories, and snacks, including home made trail mix, hot dogs, and s’mores.

The library’s Summer Reading Program exists to spark and maintain children’s interest in libraries and reading over the summer. Programs will happen on Tuesdays at 10:00 am at the Wilder Library and Wednesdays at 3:30 pm at Quechee, on topics like camping, hiking, canoeing, trees, and more.  Children will receive activity booklets and will be encouraged to track their summer reading in their booklets. The Summer Reading Program will end on August 5th with a Wrap Up event and party.  More details about this event are forthcoming.
