In recent years, the Friends have purchased new furniture and carpeting for the Wilder Library Children\u2019s Room and refinished the leather chairs in the Quechee Library lobby, as well as the annual maintenance of the printers. They also have a selection of fundraising gifts, including notecards, tote bags, and blankets for when you want to rep your favorite local libraries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The current leadership of the Friends are: Jo Allsopp, President; Joyce Baldwin, Vice President; and Marilyn Farley, Secretary and Treasurer.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n The Friends meet the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 at the Quechee Library, and the meetings are open to anyone interested in joining at any time.\u00a0<\/span>The Friends also hold an Annual Meeting in May of each year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Friends are always looking for new members and offer a number of opportunities to get involved, including book sales; the Covered Bridges Half Marathon water stop at the library; staffing the Bugbee Pop Up library; and assisting with various children’s programs throughout the year.<\/span><\/p>\n Please email info@quecheelibrary.org<\/a> for additional information or to join the Friends\u2019 email distribution list.<\/strong><\/p>\n Prints are available for purchase for $195 of this Quechee village scene painted by\u00a0<\/strong> watercolor artist Susan Pecora. \u00a0Made possible by a gift from Gladys Sullivan, the painting is on display at the library.<\/p>\n For over 30 years, we\u2019ve held a book sale in conjunction with the Quechee Balloon Festival to support the libraries. Donations of books and volunteer time are essential. We also maintain an ongoing book sale in the lower level of the Quechee Library throughout the year.
