In the interest of individual and community health during this pandemic, the Quechee/Wilder Libraries are following state guidelines. These include the following:
*Hours are shorter for now, and capacity at each site is limited to what the square footage safely allows: 20 people at Quechee and 3 people within the library portion of the Wilder Club and Library (an additional two people may use the hall).
*Masks and social distancing are required at all times within the libraries.
*No one feeling ill with cold symptoms or a temperature should enter.
* We request frequent use of our supplied hand sanitizer.
*Returned items are isolated for three days before being re-shelved for circulation. Loan periods can be extended if patrons choose to extend the isolation period at home.
*Spaces have been adapted for social distancing and some of our favorite pastimes such as the chess board and puzzles are tucked away.
*Children in second grade and younger must be accompanied by a caregiver.
*Visits are to be limited to one-half hour in most of the library rooms. However, one hour stays are permitted in the upstairs room at Quechee and the hall at Wilder for a maximum of two people. Appointments for these longer visits are recommended.
*Our many discussions are offered in the hybrid combination for a choice of attending in person following our protocols or by Zoom.
*During the warmer months windows will be kept open. As the seasons change we are adding air filtration units to the libraries.
*Pick up bin service at both sites remains available as an option.
