Northern Vermont University professor Paul Searls will be at the Quechee Library to discuss his newly published book. Come to learn about the complexity and consequences of Vermont’s love of its rural character. Searls will discuss the irony that preserving that character challenges some of its very traditions. Copies of the book, Repeopling Vermont: The Paradox of Development in the Twentieth Century, are now available to borrow prior to the discussion. No tests, however. Join us regardless of whether the book has been read.
